Risk Management Officer

Job description

As a regulated financial institution Safened has organized her governance according to the three lines of defense model. The second line is formed by this Risk Management department, which is now basically completely being taken care of by Peter van Ulden. You could imagine that he could use some help. That's why we are looking for our very first Risk Management Officer, to work alongside Peter to set up all the structures and, eventually, a team to take care of the whole second line control. 


WHAT YOU’LL DO

So in short: your job as a Risk Management Officer at Safened is to support the business in making sure that their risks are mitigated sufficiently so they will stay within Safened’s risk appetite. This is a responsibility you will accomplish by:

  • Regular participation in business development and/or (IT) sprint planning meetings;

  • Advising the business on how to effectively and efficiently mitigate their risks sufficiently;

  • Manage and continuously improve the Safened risk and control framework,

  • Ensuring the Safened risk and IT control framework is incorporated into Safened’s policies and (IT) procedures;

  • Monitoring the adherence of business to the enterprise risk and control framework;

  • Being responsible for the ISAE3402 and COS3000 assurance reports. (together with one of the Big4 companies).

  • Background in IT or Finance with a decent amount of IT knowledge, for instance as a (IT) Risk Manager or an IT Auditor.

  • 3-5 years working experience (preferably in an auditor or risk management position).

  • Master degree or equivalent in business, IT, finance or another related field, preferably (nearly) complemented by an RA, RE, RO or CISA study/title.

  • Language skills: English and one other language (Dutch is a plus, but not necessary). Your overall communication is very clear, making you a great stakeholder to support the rest of the business.

  • You have a proven track record of aiming for the highest achievement, always looking for ways to improve and develop yourself.

  • You want to be a part of an organization where your growth and ours, develop equally.

  • Ideal picture: You've worked for one (or more ;) ) of the Big4.
