Fullstack developer (.NET / Angular)

Job description

Working with the most valued banks in the US and Europe. Safened built a deposit platform to connect top-tier banks and/with cash-rich clients all over the world. For us to achieve more and faster growth we would love to add an entrepreneurial full stack developer to open up the market for our services even further. Together with a small team of developers, a product owner and QA engineers you will be spearheading new feature development, improving one of our two existing portals and modernize the architecture of a multibillion-dollar business that is highly scalable.

Your mission…

… is to drive the growth and stability of our Deposits platform in a small team of talented people. And for that we see that you will be using your skills for:

  • Developing both backend and front-end (.NET / Angular), including API development
  • Improve existing functionalities and play an important role in the further development of the tech platform as a whole
  • Expand functionalities and help with connecting partner banks and wealth managers within our new Broker-Dealer portal
  • Guide and help our team in the quality assurance of solutions
  • Work closely together with the other developers and team (also one remote AX developer)
  • Create clean code principles and literally establish a ‘code of conduct’ so we can be scalable in all our efforts
  • Focus on Frontend development (Angular8) when needed. We feel this is around 25-40% of the time, so main focus is backend related.

Our tech stack

Because we have developed different portals in the course of time we also have a very varied .NET based stack with .NET core 2.2 and up. We want to give you the freedom to continue to build on what is there, but also use what you think can bring us further. In the frontend we want to move all our stack into Angular and finish the refactoring what is behind in that. Also there we have some nice challenges.

To be successful in our Safened team we love it that you are a very allround colleague in both modern backend and Frontend technologies. We think that you would have around minimum of 6 years of relevant work in backend (and some years in frontend) development. If you can check off most of the boxes that is fine. The rest you can learn in our opinion and since we have 2 full stack developers you can complement each other.

Backend related:

  • Strong knowledge of .NET Framework 4.7 and higher / C# Programming
  • .NET core 2.x
  • Experience with WCF / REST / Web API (added value)
  • OOP / Design patterns / IoC and dependency injections
  • Working experience with Entity Framework and PostgreSQL
  • Good English skills to communicate with our international team

Frontend related:

  • Angular (hard requirement)
  • HTML5 / CSS3 / JavaScript / jQuery / AngularJS / Razor / ASP
  • SCSS with BEM principles
  • RxJs and NgRx
  • Karma and Jasmine Testing

  • Agile methodologies: Scrum
  • Testing: Unit Testing, Mocking
  • DevOps: continuous integration / release management
  • For code quality analysis we us SonarQube

What we offer

At Safened, we care about attracting and retaining the best people. We work with the most modern technology and...

  • You will receive a very good salary
  • The chance to work in a multinational and rapidly growing scale-up that works with leading names in global finance
  • 25 days of vacation to recharge your batteries
  • A workplace in our beautiful new office right next to the beautiful Vondelpark in Amsterdam
  • Daily catered, fresh and tasty lunch with your colleagues
  • After work drinks in our very own bar on Fridays
  • High degree of collaboration and autonomy
  • Crucial role in a highly motivated, talented team
  • Flat structures and open communication

<<<for this role we will not relocate people outside of EU (not offering sponsorship) and we prefer a person that is in Amsterdam already (we are able to take over sponsorship already in place)>>>
